Google on Monday announced the new Pixel 6 series i.e Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, with its own Tensor chip. While Google has used custom hardware in products in the past, this is the first time it has come up with a custom-made chip for phones
We’ve seen a ton of leaks already related to Google’s upcoming flagship Pixels, but now we have the real deal. Out of nowhere, the company just revealed images, naming, and other aspects and features of the Pixel 6 series
But Google stated it won’t unveil the release date, price, or full specs until the fall, meaning there’s still plenty to speculate about. From price, specs, availability, and more, here’s everything we know (or suspect) so far about the Google Pixel 6.
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Based on the information provided by Google, we know the Pixel 6 Pro will have a more premium design, with curved edges and better aluminium materials compared to the flatter Pixel 6.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, The edges of the Pixel 6 Pro are slightly curved while it is completely flat on the Pixel 6.
The Pixel 6 will offer a 6.4-inch FHD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Google made its own SoC for powering the AI and machine learning (ML) in the upcoming Pixel 6 series phones
And it will have a triple-camera setup with a telephoto camera that the dual-camera Pixel 6 lacks. However, both Pixels will have the same Google-made chipset, Google Tensor.
Based on leaked information, we also predict the Pro will have a larger battery to offset the screen size difference, plus additional RAM and storage over the smaller model.
