What is lockdown ?

Lockdown means stay at home and stay safe 

  • which may also refer to as the coronavirus crisis deepens across the world, countries are using lockdown as one of the prime quarantine strategies to control the spread. 
  • As you all know that because of Coronavirus, our Prime Minister “Shri Narendra Modi” has implemented the rule of lockdown so that this disease does not spread any more. Just follow the rules and regulation given by our Prime Minister. 
  • First lockdown was announced on 25th march 2020 till 14th April 2020 wich was know as “21 days-lockdown”, when pandemic does not stop, the prime minister has decided to increase the lockdown till 3rd May 2020 which is known as “Lockdown 2.0”. If Pandemic doesn’t stops than lockdown may increase.

Advantage of Lockdown

Social distance 

Social distancing, also called physical distancing, is a set of Non medicine interventions or measures taken to prevent the spread of a transmissible disease by maintaining a physical distance between people and reducing the number of times people come into close contact with each other. 

Air Pollution 

Because of COVID-19 pandemic, there has been decrease in Air pollution.”It is true that pollution levels are going down and will continue to be lower as a result of lockdown”.

The nation wide curfew in India on March 22 also resulted in the lowest one-day traffic pollution levels on record, analysis from CREA said. Other hazardous pollutants, PM 2.5 and the larger PM 10, which are less than 10 micrometers in diameter, also dropped swiftly, the report added.

Due to lockdown the level of water pollution has been decreased, from last three weeks Ganga and Sangam river has been noticed less pollution.

The total coliform(bacteria) in river Ganga at Sangam, as recorded on March 13, was 3400MPN/100ml (most probable number) and the same came down to 2600MPN/100ml during lockdown (on April 9). Similarly, the fecal coliform(bacteria) at Sangam was 1300MPN/100ml on March 13 and it declined sharply at 820MPN/100ml as on April 9. The maximum Justified limit of fecal coliform is 2500MPN. 

Lockdown Disadvantages 

Due to Lockdown the share-market has been decreased.  

Banking stocks showed signs of weakness in early trade after the RBI announced a fresh 75 basis points. Auto stocks also fell as the sector remains worried about the overall economic impact of Covid-19. Top automaker Mahindra & Mahindra slumped over 7 per cent. 

There is great impact on labours, workers, companies, employee, etc 

Effects  

Effects of Lockdown on labours has become horrible because thay didn’t have any fixed houses for resistance to stay. Labours who earns daily for there Twice a day flatbread Foursquare meals.
